Formed in the depths of a Minnesota winter at a local water hole, known for it's extensive, high-quality selection of craft and classic beers, Brewing Architects was a concept at creating meaningful experiences for local craft breweries through better breweries and better beer.

Drew Ruggles - Brewery Designer, Operations Analyst, and Head Brewer

Drew leverages his 25+ years of brewing experience and 21 years of business experience in Facilities Management and Architectural Contract Services industries to work with Brewery Owners and Architects to convey the spatial requirements and equipment layouts for your brewery operations.

He’s passionate about improving the quality of the beers he collaborates on, by constant critical analysis of ingredients, process, and recipe, and implements recommended changes.

His professional background experience includes roles as a Project Manager, Business Analyst, and Facilities Design Consultant with a focus on systems and process implementations and improvements.

As a National Beer Judge (Beer Judge Certificate Program — BJCP), he’s active in local and national beer competitions, and was a former lead instructor of the BJCP exam preparation course.

He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota College of Architecture.

Drew has continuing education courses from White Labs and The Siebel Institute of Technology.
